Delete your account and data
How to delete your Mindzilo account and all your children’s data, and what happens next.
The Mindzilo app is made by Soonbuilt.
In the app
- Open Mindzilo on your Android phone.
- Go to Family settings and enter your PIN.
- Open Settings, then choose Delete account.
- Confirm. Sign-in stops straight away.
On the website
- Sign in with the same account.
- Open Settings, then choose Delete account.
- Confirm. Sign-in stops straight away.
By email
If you cannot sign in, email us from your account’s email address with the subject “Delete my account”. We will confirm by email and delete the account within 30 days.
Delete one child only
You can remove one child and keep your account. In the app, open Family settings, choose the child, open their settings, then Remove child. On the website, open the child’s page and choose Remove child. Their profile and learning are deleted straight away.
What is deleted
- Your account and your sign-in record.
- Every child’s profile, learning, coins, reports and First Steps drawings.
- Zilo’s conversations, notes and your hopes for each child.
- Phone lock rules, app time and lock records.
- Your agreement records and email settings.
- On the phone: signing out of Mindzilo or uninstalling it removes your family’s data from that phone.
This happens straight away, and we email you when it is done. It cannot be undone.
What is kept, and for how long
- Encrypted database backups: up to 35 days, then they are overwritten.
- A few records with no personal content: our team’s action logs (which may hold our internal reference numbers), records of emails sent (no addresses, only our reference numbers), monthly totals of Zilo’s use that are not linked to anyone, finished or failed background-task records (removed after 30 days) and totals for each question.
- Copies held by our service providers, such as emails already sent or Zilo requests, are deleted on their own schedules.
If you simply stop using Mindzilo
If no one signs in and no phone with Mindzilo connects to us for 6 months, we delete the account and all its data. We email you at 5 months, at least 30 days before. Signing in, or a phone with Mindzilo connecting while online, keeps the account. When it is deleted, we send a final email to confirm.
